Of course, this is especially true if you receive a prize for international research marketing from the General Secretary of the German Research Foundation (DFG)!

Thanks to all colleagues at Forschungszentrum Jülich and partners who have contributed to this success with their commitment!

Here are some impressions from the award ceremony:

Representing Forschungszentrum Jülich and the entire PASCAL team, Prof. Harry Vereecken (Director of the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences, Soil Research, IBG-3) and I accepted the award from Prof. Dorothee Dzwonnek (Secretary General of the German Research Foundation / DFG). Copyright: DFG.

In addition to the certificate, there was also a beautiful glass cup, which weighs a proud 2.4 kg! Copyright: DFG.

In addition to PASCAL, the concepts of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and the University Alliance Ruhr were also awarded. The Deutsche Sprothochschule Köln (German Sport University Cologne) received the “start-up” special price. For more information on these concepts, you may check DFG’s press release here: http://www.dfg.de/en/service/press/press_releases/2017/press_release_no_51/index.html
